Plot summary
Kyla earns her living as a genealogy researcher, putting together family trees for clients. A discovery concerning the extended family of her mother brings her and her sister to the town of Conifer in the hope of completing their ancestry. In Conifer the trail points Kyla toward a Christmas tree farm that has been in one family for generations, and toward the stubborn man who runs it.
