Plot summary

On a full moon night in the 1980s, Heather becomes a wolf for the first time and claws her mother, Patti, across the chest. The curse runs in the family, passed to her from her father, Henry. Years on, Heather works alongside Henry at a diner and plays hockey with her twin brothers, Cooper and Hardy, while Patti drinks. Then Jonny, a figure skater, moves to the area with her father, and Heather watches her at the local rink. The two begin talking and spending time together. Jonny already has a boyfriend, Rick, who is unkind to her, and Heather's parents insist she keep what she is a secret.
