Plot summary
Toby Kellogg is a seventeen-year-old musician. His father has sent him to Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan, a classical-music summer camp. Toby comes back to Los Angeles ahead of schedule and finds his house empty of all its furniture and his family missing. He does not know where they are or why they are gone. He searches the city for his parents. The police are also trying to find Toby, and a mob hit man is looking for him too.
