Plot summary
Kannan works as a sales executive and loves Mahalakshmi, but his parents have arranged for him to marry Sandhya, a relative, and he is too afraid of his father to object. His closest friend is Gautham, who owns a restaurant, has no interest in women or marriage and would rather stay single, even though his family keeps pressing him to settle down. Kannan asks Gautham to meet Sandhya and explain his love for Mahalakshmi. Gautham agrees and tells her. Sandhya says she has no wish for the match either, and that she would rather marry a man like Gautham, which leaves him confused.
