Plot summary
Harry and Vera are winter camping in the mountains outside Reno, Nevada, with their son Mikey and daughter Tracy. A man hauling a trailer, Denton Bromley, who calls himself Pop, stays with them overnight. Pop tells of bringing his son Bernie up in a cabin close by, until Bernie went off into the woods. In the same forest, Bobby and Ron lead members of a wilderness training program to their camp, and they give Debbie Harris directions there. P. J. is another camper traveling to the retreat, and Regis runs the camp, with his girlfriend Marcie.
