Plot summary

Mr. Magoo, the nearsighted cartoon character, is on his way to a Broadway theater to star as Ebenezer Scrooge in a musical staging of A Christmas Carol. He arrives thirty minutes late. In the show, Scrooge lends money in Victorian London and holds tight to it, refusing two men who come asking for a charity donation. His clerk, Bob Cratchit, works without coal for his fire, though Scrooge does let him take the holiday off. That night at home, the ghost of Jacob Marley, Scrooge's business partner, dead these seven years and weighed down by chains, brings a warning: three spirits will call on Scrooge before morning.
