Meteor Apocalypse (2010) on Netflix

Plot summary

A long-period comet is found to be on a path toward Earth. Nuclear states fire missiles at it, but the strikes only break it apart, and pieces begin to hit the ground. Research scientist David Dematti is called to work by his co-worker Mark, who is having convulsions, and David finds toxins in the water there. His daughter Alison also becomes ill after drinking it. The United States government links the comet to a pathogen that has fouled Lake Mead and orders a quarantine, and David is kept apart from his wife Kate and Alison. He gets away from the troops and heads for the Las Vegas Valley, where a colleague is working on an antidote.
