Plot summary
In a competitive hairdressing contest, judging is interrupted when one of the entrants is found murdered. The death upends a group of stylists whose skill and ambition are matched by their cutthroat rivalries and near-obsessive devotion to hair. Extravagance and excess define the event, and the crime hardens the divisions among them.
