Plot summary
Maria was a hired assassin for the BlackRose cartel. She refused to complete a mission and the cartel ordered her death, so she staged her own and made a new home with her husband Bert and their daughter Min-Min. Ricardo de la Vega, watching Governor Villanueva deny any link to him on television, sends Kaleb to deal with the governor. At the governor's rally a man photographs Maria, and the picture is passed to Kaleb, who knows her from the life she left.
