Plot summary
Gara leaves the Philippines and works in Italy, taking jobs as a caregiver, as a pet sitter for Clarissa's dog, and as a household helper for Terry, Andrew's stepmother. She believes in destiny, romance and true love. Andrew, a medical student, is grief-stricken over the end of a recent relationship, practical and unenthusiastic about accepting fate. At a park, Gara sees Andrew looking depressed; a thief grabs his bag, and she chases the thief and gets the bag back, but Andrew has already gone. She looks through his smartphone for contacts to tell them about his belongings. Andrew finds her in Terry's living room and accuses her of being in connivance with the thief. After they argue, they accidentally end up hugging on the couch, and Terry comes in and ends their feud. Gara returns the bag.
