Plot summary
Roanne Sanchez is an advocate for the poor, and she has firm ideas about how a romance ought to unfold. Her assignment is to accompany Enrique Rodriguez III, the president's son, who goes by Eric, while he spends time in a rural community on an immersion trip. Eric is spoiled and used to privilege, Roanne is not, and the two argue about nearly everything they meet. Then the arguing gives way to an attraction between them, and the trip becomes the start of a romance.
