Plot summary
Dev Karan Singh is a painter in debt and a Casanova. He has agreed to marry Anita, the daughter of the wealthy Singhania. Priya Verma teaches music to children and is engaged to Raj, a man who once helped her when she needed it. The two meet aboard a cruise from Singapore to India. Dev, fond of Priya, tries to get close to her; she is not impressed at first, but she comes to love him. During the cruise he introduces her to his grandmother. Since both are already promised to other people, they decide to settle their engagements and meet again on Valentine's Day, six months later.
