Plot summary
India launches Project Milaap, a plan to release Pakistani prisoners as a step toward easing tensions between the two countries. Raghavan Dutta, a former special forces soldier dismissed for killing Pakistani citizens in reprisal for his son's death in the war, runs a militant group and works against the peace, opening fire on General Amarjeet Bakshi at a press conference. Brigadier Shekhar Sharma takes the bullet and, before he dies, tells his son Major Ram Prasad Sharma that his wife Madhu and their son Lakshman walked out years earlier, and asks Ram to bring the family back together. General Bakshi sends Ram to St. Paul's College in Darjeeling to protect his daughter Sanjana. Ram agrees once he learns that Lakshman studies at the same college and enrolls as a student.
