Plot summary
Henri Renaud is an actor still waiting for his break, and the stardom he dreams of is the action kind. What he is cast in instead is a poetic costume drama, and at its helm is Cédric Rovère, a cinema star of an older generation. The shoot takes him to the French countryside, where he is at first dismissive of the film's artistic style and turns his attention to Gloria, a co-star he hopes to win over. Cédric is intrigued by the younger man's dream and treats the shoot as an unexpected gift. Henri, meanwhile, is charmed by the older man's benevolence.
