Plot summary
Vincent has just come home to Baltimore after serving twelve years of a twenty-year sentence, and he means to open a crab shack. His nephew Woody Watson, 13, lives with his grandmother and waits for his mother to finish rehab in North Carolina. When Vincent drops Woody at school, the boy grows embarrassed as a girl looks his way, so Vincent decides to teach his nephew how to become a man. The two buy a tailored suit and visit Cofield, an old crime partner of Vincent's who says Vincent's former boss, Mr. Fish, is asking after him. At the bank, Vincent is told he must come up with $22,000 more before he can open. Vincent agrees to a last drug deal for Mr. Fish and takes Woody with him.
