Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Long Day's Journey Into Night (2018)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- The 59-minute unbroken 3D long take that closes Bi Gan's Long Day's Journey into Night took two months to prepare and seven attempts to shoot, because a RED camera had to be manoeuvred through a complicated environment. It was filmed in 2D and converted to 3D afterwards, as a 2D camera was lighter and easier to move in tight spaces.
- Chinese audiences turned on the film after its strong opening: the hashtag "can't understand Long Day's Journey Into Night" trended on social media and users of the ticketing platform Maoyan drove its aggregate user rating down.
