Plot summary
Sartana gives himself up at Everglades Penitentiary as a convict so he can meet Granville, a prisoner there, and he helps him break out. Granville tells him his casino partner, Horace Johnson, cheated him in a deal with the outlaw Monk and Joe, the brother of Sheriff Manassas Jim: Monk was to receive two million counterfeit dollars from Joe in return for half a million in gold. Johnson, a banker, was meant to make the transaction legal. The loot sits hidden in Mansfield, and Granville asks Sartana to locate the gold for a share.
