Legion of Fire: Killer Ants (1998) on Netflix

Plot summary

While on a fishing trip in Burly Pines, Alaska, Dr. Jim Conrad and a friend find a moose stripped clean of meat. Hunters say they shot the animal only two hours earlier, and a shopkeeper is discovered in the same condition. Authorities suspect a predator, but Conrad is not convinced. During an autopsy, he finds the jaws of a marabunta, an ant from South America that moves in huge swarms and kills everything in its path. Conrad determines that the ants arrived in Alaska in logs from a shipwreck years before and hibernated until seismic activity warmed the wood. He teams up with Police Chief Jeff Croy and schoolteacher Laura Sills to find a way to eliminate the ants.
