Plot summary
Spotted as a teenager by Didier, a small-time agent, Leslie Konda has signed his first contract as a striker with a big Spanish club. His growing reputation and his Botswangan origins earn him an invitation from President Babimbi Bobo, who has taken power in the small, poor Central African state after a military coup and who follows football closely. Leslie makes his first trip to his ancestors' country, with Didier at his side, to be decorated. The president's humanist speeches give way to the behavior of a megalomaniac and paranoid dictator guided by his wife. No sooner have the two men landed than Bobo proposes a deal to Didier: the agent is to push his player into joining the national team, the Crocodiles of Botswanga.
