Plot summary

The Odin Mainland is split into four countries, each guarded by soul masters who use soul powers, and the strongest seven among them are the Noble Lords. The story opens in the Aslan Empire, the water origin. Qi Ling has worked as a busboy in an inn from a young age, and during a battle between soul masters he tames Ice Fang, a legendary soul beast. Yin Chen, Lord to the Seventh Degree, arrives under orders from the Silver Priest to take the boy as his disciple. Together they travel to the Grave of Souls, where Qi Ling hopes to claim the weapon of his soul. Restless, he disregards his lord's instructions and enters with Guishan Lian Quan and Tianshu You Hua, and so he is caught in the Upcoming Storm, a clash of soul powers among the lords.
