Plot summary
In 1898 a German outlaw named Erik Klaus vanishes into the Arizona desert, leaving warnings behind for anyone who goes looking for the treasure he buried there. Years later cowboys dig the treasure up and find a summoning stone, which the myth says Saint Nicholas left in his enemies' shoes and stockings so that Krampus would come for them once the garments were set by a fire to dry. When a lantern sets the stone burning, Krampus comes out; the stone is then lost in a stream. Decades on, Will and Amber bring their children Tommy and Fiona to Arizona for Christmas, staying with Amber's mother and father, Dale and Alice Henderson. Tommy finds the stone in a creek while gold panning; Troy burns it with his cigarette.
