Plot summary
Police assistant Lance Boyle is stuck with worthless cases until murders in a nearby wood point to killer tomatoes. He teams up with tomatologist Kennedy Johnson to investigate the attacks. Meanwhile, Professor Mortimer Gangreen poses as talk show host Jeronahew and uses hidden signals on his program to control viewers. He and his assistant Igor kidnap reporters and other media workers, then plan to use the brainwashed captives and his killer tomatoes to rule the world. His plans are childish: he promises Igor a K-Mart in East Rutherford and looks forward to his bags not being last on the carousel.
