Plot summary
When Krypton was destroyed, Kara Zor-El's escape pod struck Mar Novu's satellite, and the Monitor rescued her and raised her as his companion, hiding from her that her home world had perished. She discovered the pod in a storage bay, learned what had happened, and pressed him until he revealed that her cousin Kal-El had survived on Earth; taking part of his power, she assumed the form of Harbinger. Time has since turned the single antimatter wave into a series of them, and heroes are posted at vibrational towers that let whole worlds phase clear while Novu's council hunts a lasting answer. The satellite broadcasts Psycho-Pirate's empathic control to keep those populations calm, a task that has worn him down, and shadow demons descend on the towers at once.
