Plot summary
Crystina has come to Hawaii for a job as a nanny, and the one she is hired to look after is Nimrod's dog; Nimrod is a rock star. Two brothers and their sister take the animal's basket into a cave near a volcano, and Crystina chases after them in a taxi. Inside, the group loses its way in the caverns. The volcano erupts and the passages begin to fall in, so the sister sets off to bring back help while the others hunt for an exit. Deeper down lies Atlantis, the lost city at the center of the Earth, and Bryan, Bernard and Crystina reach it, as does another visitor from the surface, Wanda Saknussemm.

- After producers Yoram Globus and Menahem Golan were unhappy with Rusty Lemorande's rough cut, they hired Albert Pyun to finish the film, and Pyun agreed to do it for free if he was allowed to make Alien from L.A. for under $1 million.
- A beginning for the film had been shot with Christmas decorations, but it had to be scrapped when the film abandoned its intended Holiday 1986 release date.
