Plot summary

Jane, who has Asperger syndrome, lives with her parents in Queens, New York, and works in the costume department of the theater where her older sister Bianca is acting in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Bianca is settling in Brooklyn with her fiancé Rob, who reports from the field as a journalist. On Jane's birthday, their parents say they are moving to New Jersey and want Jane to live with Bianca, who is unsure she can take on that responsibility. At a housewarming party, Jane meets Jack, a friend of the couple who works as a sous-chef and cannot hold down a relationship. The two get along well, and Jack does not know that Jane has autism. Bianca pulls them apart and orders Jack to keep away from Jane, and the sisters argue.
