Plot summary
A posting takes Chennai police officer Sathya to Ayanpuram, a village where people speak of a haunting that goes back more than a century. They say a ghost called Jackson lives in an old colonial bungalow, and Sathya's job is to prove that no ghost is there. As he goes about the work, he grows fond of Viji, the daughter of the village headman. Veera, a relative of Viji, wants to marry her as well. The two men make a bargain: whoever can stay a week in the Jackson Bungalow keeps his claim to her, and the loser gives it up.
