Plot summary
A recorded message on a cassette tape reaches a young man in Austin, sent by a friend who urges him to blow off school and leave town. He goes about his daily activities, among them firing a gun from his window, and then gets on a train. The journey is long. Once it ends, his friend is there to meet him in Missoula, Montana.
