Impossible Choice (2012) on Netflix

Plot summary

Brandon is a minister's son, and the summer ahead of him brings an awakening to his homosexuality and an acceptance of it. For his father, a man whose roots lie in the bible, the season is a challenge as he works out what it says about sexuality. In a wider look at acceptance, a play staged inside the story recalls two landmark tragedies from gay culture's history, the killing of Mathew Shepard and Tyler Clementi's suicide. An intertwined thread follows an Erie Canal cruise operator as he tries to launch a gay cruise in a conservative stretch of Upstate New York.
