Plot summary
Vanessa had planned a vacation with her best friend Jennifer, to mark their natural soda company's distribution deal. Jennifer dies, and Vanessa makes the trip alone. She drinks and takes Xanax that night and passes out. The next morning Jennifer is in the kitchen, saying she is an extraterrestrial sent to Earth to study humans and that Vanessa is her test subject. The visitor says that having taken Jennifer's form, she also carries all of Jennifer's memories. Vanessa assumes she is dreaming or dying because of what she drank, and goes along with the alien's research, talking about the friend she lost.
