Plot summary
Michelle Brown is a young woman who has an excellent credit history and has just bought her first house. As she submits the paperwork for her mortgage, one of the employees at the lender, Connie Volkos, takes her credit card number, her social security number and her address. Connie uses them to purchase numerous items, among them electronics and other luxuries. The spending grows out of hand, and bills for items Michelle never bought begin arriving in her name. Michelle now carries a massive debt that a stranger ran up in her name, and she faces a battle to restore her good name.
