Iceman (1984) on Netflix

Plot summary

Anthropologist Stanley Shephard is summoned to an arctic base where explorers have uncovered the body of a Neanderthal man, frozen in ice for 40,000 years. When the scientists thaw the body to perform an autopsy, the monitors register brainwaves, and they revive him. The dazed man is alarmed by the masked figures around him until Shephard takes off his own mask. Kept in a simulated environment for study, the iceman works out that he is far from home. Shephard argues that he is a human being rather than a scientific specimen, and despite the objections of his colleagues he begins to reach out to him, learning his name and the world he lost.
