Plot summary
After eight months in prison for breaking and entering, Git Hynes returns to Dublin. His ex-girlfriend Sabrina Bradley now lives with his best friend Anto, and she asks Git to show Anto that he accepts the situation. In a bar, Git learns that Anto's gambling debts have put him in the hands of bookies who plan to take his fingers. Git intervenes and injures their ringleader, the nephew of mob boss Tom French. French orders Git to work off the debt by finding his associate Frank Grogan in Cork and bringing him to Dublin. French keeps Anto as a hostage and pairs Git with Bunny Kelly.
