Plot summary
Sau Ho is an undercover officer with the Hong Kong police narcotics unit. He has been under cover for over a decade. Yuen Muk Yu is his handler. Maggie Kong is his wife. Four tons of drugs arrive in Hong Kong in secret and disappear. George Lam is a barrister. Vivian Ha is Lam's pregnant fiance. Eddie Fong is superintendent of the Cybercrime Investigation Unit, and Chung Kam Ming is his superior officer.

- While filming a stunt sequence in Tsing Yi, Gordon Lam was injured protecting a child actor he was holding from falling on uneven ground with gravel and rocks. He was temporarily immobilised and taken to hospital, and four days later was well enough to attend the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards.
- The film's Malaysian island ambush — a shootout and explosion on a beach set — took twelve nights to shoot, with heavy rain storms every night, including RED rainstorm signals on some nights. The explosion alone took three to four hours to film.
- A promotion for the film had Andy Lau and George Lam covering the 1982 song "Hard to Separate Good and Evil", with a music video made using AI-generated visuals of the two. Its director, Junie Lau, was discovered by Lau through social media after winning an international competition with a self-made AI music video.
