Plot summary
Two years after the Saints win a Super Bowl, head coach Sean Payton is suspended for a season over the Bountygate scandal, in which the team allegedly paid bonuses to players who hurt opponents. While he awaits an appeal, he returns to Argyle, Texas, checks into a hotel for five days and shows up unannounced at Liberty Christian, his old middle school, where his son Connor plays. Beth, Sean's ex-wife, and her new husband Jamie call him over and invite him to a barbecue. There the teammates are friendly while Connor stays distant. Sean begins shouting suggestions at practice, and when his advice earns the Warriors their first touchdown of the season, coach Troy asks him to run the offense.
