Trailer
Plot summary
A robbery at a county fair sends Havana and Peter to Canada, where they hide out in the small, isolated Hutterite community that raised Peter. The two of them marry there to satisfy the conservative elders of the colony. Peter hides their loot away in a secret hiding place. He is then killed in a car wreck, leaving Havana a widow in the colony, and Zeke, Peter's much younger brother, is called on to become Havana's husband in a levirate marriage. Havana comes from outside the community, and Zeke, still a boy, already hates her, believing she is what changed his elder brother.
