Hobgoblins (1988) on Netflix

Plot summary

Kevin takes the vacant security job at an old movie studio to impress his girlfriend Amy. His boss, the elderly Mr. McCreedy, has been guarding a small group of hairy, demonic creatures called hobgoblins since they crash-landed on the lot decades earlier. While pursuing a burglar one evening, Kevin comes upon the vault, and the hobgoblins escape. McCreedy tells him what they can do: they make a person's wildest fantasy come true, then kill the victim when that fantasy turns against them. Drawn by bright lights, the creatures head to Kevin's house, where Amy, Kyle and Daphne are waiting with Daphne's Army boyfriend Nick. Kevin and his friends have to stop them.
