Plot summary
Hirschen is a village where nearly everybody works at the local factory. The factory goes bankrupt, and most of the people who live there move away. A butcher, a mayor, a mechanic, a doctor and a policeman are among the few who decide to remain. They want to keep living in Hirschen and look for a way to do it. Then a car crashes into a deer on a road near the village. The driver is only lightly hurt, and the villagers look after him. He sleeps at the butcher's hotel, the doctor gives him a checkup, the mechanic repairs the car, the policeman takes care of the papers, and the mayor shows him around the village. Their guest leads the friends to an unusual and profitable idea.
