Plot summary
Vanessa Shepherd used to be a television personality and once documented a production at the Abaddon Hotel; she now owns a local bar. After Andrew Tully's attack on the hotel she has PTSD and sees a dilapidated house in her visions. Her psychiatrist, Dr. Farrel, tells her that other people have reported similar symptoms since three investigators died at Carmichael Manor. Vanessa meets Bobby, a former employee and the son of Troy Hopewell, and she meets Alicia Cavalini, who writes about true crime and was working with Bobby.
