Plot summary
The Hell House is an annual October production of Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, Texas. Its young members build the sets and act in the rooms, and visitors walk through scenes that present sin and its consequences, among them a death from HIV, an abortion, a school shooting, a date rape, a suicide, and a car crash caused by a drunk driver. A death scene closes the tour and leads into a passage through hell, after which the audience is invited to accept Christ. The church draws more than ten thousand visitors each season. The documentary records the group at work on the show and also spends time with some of the young people taking part.
