Plot summary
At dawn, three teenage friends head out to the waves to surf. On the road a crash sends Simon Limbres to a hospital in a comatose state. Doctors find that his brain is dead. He is warm and able to breathe, and his heart still beats, while machines keep his body alive. His parents have to decide, and quickly, whether to allow organ donation. A weary woman with a weak heart and a critical degenerative heart condition is cared for by two teams of doctors and specialists. The surfers, the woman and the medical staff are strangers to one another.
