Trailer

Plot summary

Vernon Paris has worked for years toward a career as a concert pianist, with George Britton managing him and his sister Dina Paris having set her own life aside to help him. He guards his hands, wearing gray gloves he treats as lucky charms, and Eileen is the woman most often on his arm. A traffic accident leaves those hands unusable. Dr. Gil Harding, the surgeon who attends him, wins George's reluctant consent to an experimental step: grafting onto Vernon the hands of a man who had just died during surgery. Harding keeps their origin from Vernon until the bandages come off. Dina is horrified at first, then sees the nerves and muscles in the new hands respond.
