In rural Santander in 2005, Mariana is about to marry René. Willington, a trucker and DJ, is her former boyfriend and René's cousin, and he wants her back. While he tries to win her, the region goes through a demobilization process involving an illegal armed group. New killings, along with the rumor of a thief at large, bring back a past the families there fear. Mariana's new family is the one the danger reaches.
