Plot summary
Kondo, a Japanese entrepreneur of thirty, wakes on a beach he does not know after a great earthquake. He tries to pick up the routine he had before the quake, and the strange characters he meets help him understand where he is. His father, Kiyoshi, feels the loneliness of the corporate world and searches for a way to go on. Distance keeps the two of them apart.
