Plot summary
Susan Weinblatt is a photographer in New York City. She pays the rent with jobs shooting weddings, bar mitzvahs and baby pictures, and she wants to show her own photographs in a gallery. Her best friend and roommate, Anne Munroe, is an aspiring writer, and the two share an apartment on the Upper West Side. A magazine buys three of Susan's pictures. The two are moving into a new apartment, but Anne says she will not move in because she is marrying her boyfriend, Martin.
