Plot summary
Beatrix Jenkins, on a school trip to the Spectral Valley Museum, sneaks into a closed-off section to look at a pearl ring. A security guard sees her; she runs, and a car kills her. The ring is cursed, and her spirit stays bound to it, haunting her family home. In the present, seventeen-year-old Cole Sanchez moves into that house with his mother after his father's death. He finds the ring in his new room and puts it on, and strange events lead him to Bea, the ghost.
