Plot summary
The documentary follows two LGBTQ American athletes whose stories run side by side. Fallon Fox competes in mixed martial arts as a transgender woman, the first to do so professionally. Terrence Clemens is closeted about being gay and plays college basketball in Oklahoma, where he is accepted onto a team. Both go through a coming out process, drawing on the support of their friends and family. A former NBA star serves as a mentor to Terrence. The film also looks at the barriers LGBTQ players face over the course of a sports career and at how the wider society receives them.
