Plot summary
When Franca Sozzani took over Vogue Italia at the end of the 1980s, she turned away from the conventional covers and spreads of the day and began exploring subjects that had been off limits, among them an issue built around Black models and one on plastic surgery, mixing fashion with art and photography. Her son asks the questions: friends and collaborators, designers, photographers and artists among them, sit for interviews about that work, and the two of them also talk about their own relationship as mother and son. Those covers have set a standard for fashion, art and commerce for a quarter of a century.
