Plot summary
Charlie learns she is expecting a baby, and she and James, her boyfriend, set up home together to raise the child. Their daughter Thea is born, and before long Charlie is troubled at home by an evil force. Charlie's father Alistair, whom she has long been apart from, works in the occult, and the couple ask him to visit and see what is happening. He finds that entities gather around the baby, and he tells the parents how to keep her safe. One of the rules he gives them concerns dolls: Thea must not have a doll with a face.
