Plot summary
A ranger in a Pennsylvania forest sees what he takes for a meteor streak overhead, a flying saucer that sets down among the trees. Derek, a photographer, and his friend Bennett are driving across the state, taking pictures of a town wrecked by a flood, and they pitch camp in the woods nearby. At a gas station Bennett meets Michelle and arranges a date for himself and Derek with her and her friend Donna. Something in the trees mauls a fisherman, who staggers onto the road and is hit by the friends' car; a clinic doctor says he is dead. Hearing growls in the woods and spotting a saucer in the sky, Bennett and Derek choose to leave.
