Plot summary
Four days of Thanksgiving bring the Worthington family together. Brian moved away and has kept his distance for years; he returns to the tradition reluctantly, carrying his conflict with his father, Frank. Frank believes he failed as a parent and can no longer reach his maturing children. As they built lives and identities of their own, he turned to pets instead. Dottie, the mother, holds the reins on the family beneath the surface. Kenny, in his twenties, has not yet found his path. Erin is recovering from a painful divorce and searching for herself. Maddy is Erin's young daughter, wise beyond her years.
